STUDIO 3 - WEEK 4
For week 4, I won't say things are processing yet but definitely a start!
In this week we pitched our group presentations, it's all about presenting the idea and script in a more fleshed out way from every group member and how is every one and their role will connect and contribute to the film project, from my role as a prop master (in charge of props of the film) and wardrobes handler, I pitched in some ideas for what props will be used, from which time and how me and the department (Art department) want to see these props connecting to the scenes and their locations, for the wardrobes I've had a whole structured design of Iblis (the antagonist / Demon) but I think I got carried away with the detail so I'm happy I've gotten feedback from my Executive producer and the film director to give a different look to Iblis and from this week I'll make sure to get his costume done , it's a bit early but the sooner the better.

After the group pitching we went through each group's script and mistakes have been found so each group writer will have to re-write some scenes and add more logical reasons to why, when and what's happening in their scripts, it's a matter of connecting the dots together for the viewer instead of giving the full picture at once and right after that each group had to sit down and brainstorm some ideas to raise some money for the production, our group sat with the 1st AD since our producer is away and we made a list of contacts to throw parties, competitions and possibly classes to raise the funds, so far we are in the talks to get some funding from a company and later to try and have a sponsorship from CANON for the film but first we'll make sure our writer is going to have a 2nd draft so I as a prop master can highlight the props and wardrobes as well with my Art department and the 1st AD and make a list of props and cost to show it to the producer for budgeting purposes.
In our design camp of this week, instead of sitting in front of the laptop screen we took a practical workshop and it's pretty much about a huge butterfly we all set up as a class, we also learned of the diffusers and dots to either soften the light or block the light for film and to add to that the cookie (originally known as Cucoloris) than can be seen used in film noir a lot especially when the character is looking through the window, that light isn't real it's just a studio light with a cookie standing on top of it and some other connectors and pieces that connect with the c-stand or specific types of stands that are being used to hold lights, audio and eventually the butterfly.
Here's a picture of the butterfly, we did assemble one of the same size and even a smaller one:
